What labor-only moving help costs in Houston
Labor-only jobs are billed the same way as every move we do: two movers at $115 an hour Monday through Thursday, $125 on Friday and Sunday, and $135 on Saturday, plus the one-time $80 trip fee, because the crew still drives out to you. There is a 2-hour minimum, and after that we bill in 15-minute increments. A third mover is $50 an hour. If the job is more than 15 miles from our shop, drive time is billed at the same hourly rate. When booking, ask what equipment the crew supplies and what you need for your own truck or container. We do not provide packing or storage.
Loading a rental truck: how to get the most from two hours
- Have everything boxed and stacked near the door before the crew arrives. Loose items are the slowest thing to load.
- Park the truck as close to the door as you can with the ramp down, and have any blankets and straps you rented ready.
- Tell us what is heaviest and what is fragile so it goes on the truck in the right order.
- If we are unloading, have someone at the new place who can say which room each box goes to.

Can I hire movers just to move furniture inside my house?
